SEAHAVEN
WCQ conducted this 39-unit complex with a great deal of planning, designing and communication directly with the architects to come up with a cleverly designed single story unit complex.
The unit design is very thought out with every m2 counted for, the overall high ceilings and skylights to bring the space and light in. The outside look of the units is striking in its mixture of several composite materials with block rendered walls in between, with the use of 600×600 tiles to become the feature that draws you in. The project is situated directly across from the beautiful beaches of Hervey Bay, close to cafes, restaurants and many more amazing assets of Hervey Bay.
RV HOME BASE
This project was Queensland’s first RV focused residential community purpose designed for caravan and motorhome owners, grey nomads and friends. The common facilities building consists of a main function room, art/multi-purpose room, library/computer room, commercial kitchen and bar, outdoor entertaining area, gymnasium and pool.
The primary structure consisting of steel posts and beams was in-filled with “Structural Insulated Panels” to all external walls and the roof. The roof panels were pre-finished in colorbond sheeting and the walls lined on site with a composite of weatherboard planking and rendered fibre cement sheet. This method of construction reduced the overall structural steel component and cost while still providing a high-quality commercial facility. Internal attention to detail and product selection provides a truly appealing and functional end product. WCQ also project managed and built 8 individual homes of varying designs for the project as well.
